DACAMERA Editions

DACAMERA Editions is a new artist-driven music project dedicated to bringing extraordinary contemporary and chamber music recordings to wider audiences. In collaboration with Meyer Media LLC, we are proud to distribute Monochromatic Light, the debut release from DACAMERA Editions — a visionary work rooted in innovation and artistic depth.

Meyer Media LLC is proud to support DACAMERA Editions as an exclusive distribution partner. This collaboration furthers our mission to uplift exceptional musical voices and bring complex, contemporary works to global audiences.

Founded as the recording arm of DACAMERA — an internationally recognized presenter of innovative chamber music and jazz — DACAMERA Editions builds on decades of artistic leadership and adventurous programming. The project reflects DACAMERA’s commitment to new music, genre-defying works, and recordings that resonate beyond conventional labels.

DACAMERA, based in Houston, TX, has been a major force in presenting adventurous programs spanning chamber music, jazz, and newly commissioned works for over 35 years. Its collaborations with leading composers and performers make DACAMERA Editions a natural extension of this legacy.

Monochromatic Light (Afterlife), marks the inaugural release from DACAMERA Editions, distributed in collaboration with Meyer Media LLC. The work — composed by Tyshawn Sorey and co-commissioned by DACAMERA and the Rothko Chapel — has received national acclaim and was a finalist in the 2023 Pulitzer Prize in Music. A powerfully evocative work of spell-binding colors and emotional intensity, this masterpiece made the top ten classical performance lists of 2022 in both The New Yorker and The New York Times by the stellar DACAMERA artists of the premiere, and reunited for this recording.
